IZEA, originators of influencer marketing, launches in the UK

IZEA Worldwide, Inc., the company that created the influencer marketing industry, announced its launch in the UK market.

His arrival, supported by a strong balance sheet built to grow the business globally, brings with it an entirely new, game-changing approach that will reinvent and professionalise the disparate and highly fragmented UK influencer sector.

The company was founded in 2006 in the US by Ted Murphy in the early days of MySpace and LiveJournal, when it was birthing the global creator economy as we know it today. It has now enabled almost four million collaborations between influencers and brands, using technology that analyzes over 40 million influencers.

IZEA has built a reputation in its North American home market as a trusted strategic and execution partner, providing influencer marketing campaigns and custom content creation for Fortune 500 companies and some of the largest agency names in the world. The company is pursuing similar success in China, where it established a presence earlier this year.

IZEA will now offer its flexible managed service model, supported by its powerful Flex technology platform, to the UK market. This hybrid service/tech approach dispenses with the mandatory long-term commitment and hourly billing that currently dominate the industry.

Ryan Schram, IZEA’s President and Chief Operating Officer, said: “The influencer industry in the UK, like many other markets, has tremendous potential for growth, but it lacks the expertise and innovation required by top marketers. We want to be instrumental in structuring the structure for even greater success to better serve brands, agencies and creatives. Offering all of our clients flexible access to influencer services and detailed performance data is at the heart of our approach. Insights from the nearly four million collaborations we’ve completed give us a powerful level of predictive analytics and the ability to guarantee results.

“As a battle-hardened, best-in-class partner, our mission is to fill a significant gap in the market, whether working directly for a brand or with an agency for white label support. There are so many opportunities in the creative economy and we are incredibly excited to be establishing a permanent foothold in the UK and helping to drive it to market.”

The new London presence will be led by Sylvia Enotiades, a veteran British influencer marketer, as UK Country Lead. Her previous experience includes senior positions at influencer agencies Wildfire and Buzzoole, and she also serves as an industry group leadership expert for the Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA).

Sylvia Enotiades, Head of UK, Country Lead at IZEA, said: “Influencer marketing is evolving at breakneck speed and I am incredibly excited to be a part of this change. We are introducing a completely new hybrid service/technology concept to the market, building on over 15 years of excellence in execution and experience. Our success to date in China, with its diverse cultural norms, languages and social platforms, shows that our best-in-class model works globally.”

Ryan Schram concludes: “We could have sought globalization through acquisition or joint venture, but establishing IZEA country offices led by brilliant people who are native to the local market is an authentic, dedicated approach that works best suits our culture. With Sylvia we have one of the best.”

IZEA is based on three core pillars, each of which can work together or work independently. It’s the only influencer marketing company to offer all three.

First, it offers a fully managed influencer marketing service model for brands and agencies alike with flat fees paired with unmatched execution.

Second, IZEA offers brands and agencies that want to run their own campaigns in-house access to its proprietary SaaS tools, which provide marketers with a flexible, modern framework to perform a wide range of essential tasks related to the creator economy.

The final pillar is IZEA’s Creator Marketplace, an Etsy-like suite of pre-arranged influencer and content products featuring leading developers, with everything from TikTok posts for beauty brands to lifestyle blog posts. IZEA is expected to launch its revamped Creator Marketplace later this month.
